General Manager/ Shop Forman

LOCATION: Marinette, WI

Marinette Machine is growing and searching for a motivated shop manager for a prototype and low volume production machine shop. This position will be a full-time position at our main office. Desired candidate will have high energy and work well in a start up environment.  In addition, the general manager will be responsible for building and machine maintenance and store front customer service.

Required Experience

  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Solid Works experience preferred

  • Quality systems experience (ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMC)

  • Manage machinists, technicians, engineers.

  • Track and report production job status

  • Facilities maintenance experience

  • Maintain Inventory of Raw Materials

  • Maintain Equipment Through Preventative Maintenance 

  • Manual and CNC machining experience preferred

  • Verify Machine Settings and Positioning 

  • Shop operation experience

  • Manual lathe, mill, and grinding capability

  • 5-axis milling experience

  • Tool set up.

  • Waterjet or plasma experience

  • Prototype machining and fabrication

  • Fork lift operation

  • Firearm manufacturing experience a plus

  • Must not have convicted felony record due to federal requirements

  • Must be a US Person

  • Solid Works and MasterCam experience is a plus

Preferred Experience

  • 3 phase electrical wiring

  • Experience with shop support equipment installation and maintenance

  • Retail experience (inventory, customer service, sales)

  • Welding experience (TIG and MIG)

  • Experience with a Haas VF7, Haas VF2, Doosan Puma, and Mori Seiki (Please, list machines worked on and programs worked with)
